Shaima Al AwadhiSpecialist at ADNOC
Shaima Al Awadhi is an ambitious Communicator with a passion for storytelling & mastery in content creation, digital communications, internal communications & public speaking.
She started her career at PepsiCo, one of the largest food and beverage businesses in the region. Shaima was selected for the Emirati Graduate program, working on various projects with different functions, expanding her skills and understanding PepsiCo’s business.
She then looked after social and digital communications, planning and developing contents across multiple channels internally and externally. Shaima supported on activations and partnering with different functions in regional levels through messaging, projects and campaigns. She also produced creative visuals, videos and managed PepsiCo’s digital content library.
Today, she looks after ADNOC's integrated Upstream Communications Unit across HQ and major Group Operating Companies, and across M&A and financial deals, multi-billion dollar new business developments, external and internal (change) Communications. With around 3 million barrels of oil produced per day, and over 9.8 billion cubic feet of raw gas per day, ADNOC is among the largest energy producers in the world.
Shaima holds a Bachelor of Integrated Strategic Communications in Communications and Media (elective in Arts & Design) from the Zayed University Dubai and Executive Master’s degree in Corporate and Marketing Communications from IE University.
Outside of work, Shaima has participated in several exhibitions in Dubai as an artist. She won an award as one of region’s top five art students in AS Art and first place in Start-up Dubai competition. Her interests include painting, socializing, travelling and horse riding. Her goal is to bring positive change to society and contribute her skills to create a positive impact and pass on her learning and skills to everyone around her.
