Hany Mahmoud has thirty years of global, regional, and national Business experience. He has an extraordinary corporate career spanning some of the world's largest and most fast-changing companies such as; Xerox, Sanofi-Aventis and Vodafone. 

Mr. Mahmoud has multidisciplinary professions in various functions; Customer Services, Finance, Manufacturing, Marketing, Human Recourses, and General Management. 

Prior to his appointment as Minister of Administrative Development in 2013, He joined the Egyptian Cabinet as Minister of Communications and Information Technology in 2012. Before that, He was the Chairman of the Egyptian Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC)

Hany’s first job with the Egyptian government in January 2011 was the Chairman of Egypt Post.

Earlier, Hany worked with Vodafone Group for 11 years. His last job with Vodafone was the HR Regional Director for Central Europe & Africa.

He served also as the Chairman of Vodafone Turkey and on the board of Vodafone Hungary.

He is now the chairman of Vodafone Egypt, Chairman Smart for Insurance Brokerage and Chairman of HM consult.

As for Civil & community services, Hany is the chairman of Special Olympics Egypt and also on the advisory board for Special Olympics Middle East and North Africa.

From 2002 till 2008 Hany was the President of the Egyptian Human Resources Management Association.

Mr. Mahmoud graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University 1981.

He regularly participates in international conferences as key note speaker on several subjects; Leadership, Human Resources Management, Business Excellence, Innovation, Executive Coaching and Change Management.
